This Artists interview is with one of our newer artist, but just as incredible as the rest! Jack Darton

Hey there Jack, as everyone would like to know, where are you from?
- i'm from warrington, in england (go england w00p)

How did you begin chopping cars?
- I first began chopping cars about 4 years ago when i came across digimods (boo) and thought id take it up. i already had photoshop on the computer so i thought that id give it a go. ive always been really interested in cars so it seemed like a good thing to do. i wasnt any good at first, but practice makes perfect!


What programs do you use for your chops?
- I use adobe photoshop cs2 now but for the first 3 and a half years used photoshop 7. any suits me but cs2 is more user-friendly.

How long do chops usually take you?
- Chop time varies greatly. sometimes i can whip out a chop in a day, others take weeks. it all depends on my level of concentration and commitment.

What's your favorite Car?
- My favourite cars are all equally at number one on my list. the mitsubishi galant, bmw m3 e30 and the evo x.

What is your favorite Chop? (Of Yours)
- My favourite chop of mine is believe it or not the escort cosworth rs.

Hey X-Raited, Thanks For Taking The time to Chat, I Just wanted to ask ya a few questions then ill be out of your way. I couldn't imagine it being to long ago, but how old were you when you first started chopping cars?

I was 12 years old. im 16 now


Did you pick up on the skill quickly or did it take a long time?about how long?

It went allot of time, because i wasnt so active in the beginning, and i didnt try out new things that much when i was chopping. it was much of the same all over.

whats one of the main reason you chop cars, is it just for fun, or is there a reason behind you work?

Its a hobby.
how do you get yourself motivated when you are chopping cars?

Contests gets me motivated.. With big prizes
I do also like to look at other chops.. study them... that motivates me too..

how long does your normal chop take you?

A week to around a month...
When did you first start taking interest for cars in general? was it love at first sight? have you been involved with any car work in your life?

I wasnt so interested in cars in the beginning.. but all my friends were.. i guess i started liking cars because they did.
I have worked on a workshop for a week.. that was fun, and thats what i want to do the rest of my life.. Im goin at school now.. I want to be a mechanic.. =)

what programs do you use to chop or model cars with?

I am using Adobe Photoshop CS
I've tried CS2, but i like the old version better.. Im about to try the CS3

is there anything that you are trying to learn as a car chopper right now?

I am trying to make my brushing skills better.. I dont think im that good with the brush.


what do you do on your spare time besides chop cars? do you play videogames? If you do, is it mostly car related games or you you play other gemas aswell??

I spend allot of time with my girlfriend, but i am playing allot of Xbox360;D
