Nissan 350z

This is for septembers comp on another forum. Not yet finished, but thought i'd ask what you think so far. The brief for the comp is "tuner style".

Here's the original:

And my chop so far:

It's the 1st chop I've done in a long time. I run the competitions, but not had time recently due to moving in with the Mrs. Got a half done Mk5 Ibiza which was last months.

Other plans for this are window tints, maybe M3 style HUD on windscreen, undercar neons, and drop it on a different background, oh and a spoliler.

Everything (other than wheels) has been done by myself.

also has it in a variety of colours, but decided to opt for red.

Let me know what you think so far.

Re: Nissan 350z

color looks off to me, the carbon pattern is too wide (the lines are too far apart) and the rear rim looks weird (may have been squeezed too much, besides that, it's all good

Re: Nissan 350z

yeah, I thought the CF was off. I followed a guide on Digimods. Must say, he has more guides than CarChops, but they aren't in as much detail *(supposed to be a compliment to you guys )

So what do you think then? Just squeeze the CF pattern inwards a bit so the lines are tighter together?

Yes it looks much better but u need to lower the opacity of the CF and add some stronger refs. Also the rims r no,no,change them with other because they r too bright.(that side of the car is in shadow).Keep it going.

Re: Nissan 350z

right, i've just edited the wheels. made them darker:

is this ok or would you suggest taking a different wheel from a different source image in the shade???

also, notice the HUD. Opinions
